What is Batoranga?
"Bato" is a TCG. Open packs, collect cards, build your deck. The only card a Bato deck NEEDS is a base card, you can also pick a leader card to have a strong on-command unit.

The Grid
Bato is played on an infinite 3-dimensional grid. Cards can be played face-down to make land, or face-up to make units that step on said land.
The map itself changes depending on your strategy, and card abilities come with range indicators you have to play around.

Detached Resources
Bato's resources are not "color specific", and instead give you different universal benefits. You can forge metal in your blue deck to make spellblades, you can get gold and use it in your black deck to make a thief empire, etc…
A large part of the cards in the game are colorless, and can be used in any deck.

Non-parasitic design
Cards are designed to have multiple uses and layers of complexity that don't rely on external support. New players can easily understand and use them, while veterans can push their interactional limits.
This combined with the grid system, and the open resource system means that you will very rarely open a random pack and find a card you cannot use.

Open multiplayer
The game rules allow you to play in teams, and supports any amount of players. Feel free to make your own map starting zones.
While primarily being a physical collectible game, you can also play Bato on your PC through tabletop sim. Only one player needs to have the game assets for all players to use it, let your friends try!

Guides and Community support
Bato has a CODEX that contains the entire game's rules, and also allows you to search for any word you see on a card. You can have it up on your phone/PC while playing. You can find this and a follow-along starter guide on the "player guides" website tab.
The dedicated discord server is open for support, and will hold design contests and giveaways as the game develops.
